Account Setup

Configure your organisation's core settings — timezone, currency, date format, and display preferences — before adding matters and sending reminders.

Organisation Settings

Navigate to Settings → Organisation to configure your firm's core preferences.

1

Organisation name

This appears in emails, summaries, and the client landing page. Use your firm's trading name.
2

Timezone

Controls when automated reminders are sent and how dates are displayed. Reminders are sent during business hours (9am-5pm) in your selected timezone.
3

Currency

Your default currency for fees. Individual matters can override this, but this sets the default for new matters and fee displays.
4

Date format

Choose how dates appear throughout the app and in emails sent to clients. Options include ISO (2026-04-20), European (20/04/2026), and verbose formats (20 Apr 2026, Sunday, 20 Apr 2026).

Imminent Horizon

The imminent horizon controls how far ahead the system looks when flagging upcoming renewals. The default is 14 days.

Any matter with a renewal date within this window appears in the Imminent section of your sidebar and overview dashboard. Adjust this to match your firm's typical lead time for processing renewals.

Typical settings

  • 14 days — suitable for firms that process renewals quickly.
  • 30 days — gives more lead time for complex renewal workflows.
  • 60-90 days — useful when renewals require external approvals or multi-step processes.

Display Preferences

Several display options control how information appears to you and your clients:

  • Combine fees display — when enabled, professional and official fees are shown as a single total rather than itemised separately.
  • Tax label — customise the label used for tax (e.g. "VAT", "GST", "Sales Tax") to match your jurisdiction.
  • Currency spread — if your firm charges in a different currency to the official fee currency, this percentage is applied as a markup or markdown on exchange rates.
  • Public landing fields — select which matter fields (application number, applicant, client, etc.) are visible to clients on the renewal landing page.

User Profile & Security

Each user has their own profile under Settings → Profile. Here you can:

  • Update your name and email address.
  • Change your password.
  • Enable two-factor authentication for added security (recommended).
  • View and manage active sessions.

Email verification required

After changing your email address, you must verify the new address before you can continue using the app. Check your inbox for the verification email.
